#691 Summer Tourney - Round 2

The cooler weather made for a more comfortable environment & a lot more games. There were 11 in all.

Several of the week one victors took hits while a more than a handful of the opening night non-winners picked-up full points.

I won against Greg Tomkovich in 23-move Modern Defense to keep a share of the lead but lost to David Pawlowski, who, by coincidence, used the very same line. He totally out-played & out-worked me.

#690 Chess Mates Update

Chess Mates passed its final inspection this morning and got the green light to set-up its tables, chairs, boards and pieces. The tournament room, as arranged today, will accommodate 44 players.

Don Carrelli will likely post some photos on the Kenilworth Kibitzer later today in the days to come.

Hopefully, the C.O. will be issued in a day or two.
