I kept the early lead with a controlled win (just 1 rash move) against Lou Sturniolo's King's Indian Attack. Greg Tomkovich grabbed sole possesion of 2nd place with a victory over Bill Sokolosky and a draw. NM Mark Kernighan moved into clear 3rd, despite time-trouble, by beating Max Sherer.
Geoff McAuliffe, Mike Wojcio, Pete Cavaliere and Wayne Burmett joined to bring the number of players in the event to 17.
Here are the point-totals after week 2 of 13...
3.0 Moldovan (1814)
2.5 Tomkovich (1705)
2.0 Kernighan (2210)
1.5 Mangion (1737), Mazzillo (1280), Shiffman (1369)
1.0 Pelican(1649), Burmett (1499), Sokolosky (1128)
0.5 Carrelli (1704), Wojcio (1620), Cavaliere (1600), Sturniolo (1448),
0.0 Matlin (1929), McAuliffe (1736), Sherer (1683), Renna (1178)
... all 8 games from last night (!!), in Java-replay & zipped PGN; plus an early crosstable.
P.S. - Besides annotating the game against Lou, I've uploaded notes to my opening-round partie vs. Joe Renna. For links to the latter, please refer to post #328.
