Ian Mangion, looking to become the 6th champion in as many years, won twice to move a full point ahead.

Mark Kernighan took his 11th straight game but was re-relegated to 2nd place.

I used the K's Indian to beat Mikhail Kruglyak, draw Greg Tomkovich, take-over 3rd & extend my KST unbeaten streak to 9 (+6-0=3) but squandered a half-point.

Geoff McAuliffe & Joe Renna also won.
